The Alice Academy


Chapter 1 ~ Arrival

This bus stinks, Tokio thought to herself and turned to the right, where an elderly man sat. She immediately regretted that.
“Did you see the news today?” the man asked, staring at her with his icy gray eyes.
“No, the news is stupid.” Tokio responded, and sighed as the man continued.
“Well,” ignoring the look on Tokio’s face. “They’ve found evidence that there’s a new ‘Lotus’  around here.” he spat out Lotus with disgust, Tokio flinched, and the man continued. “They say it’s a female, around your age too, I’d assume, you should watch your back.” he must have seen the annoyance in Tokio’s eyes then, because he  didn’t as much as look at her, let alone talk to her, for the rest of the bus ride.

About five or ten minutes later, she wasn’t wearing her watch, the bus came to a stop. As the door opened the driver yelled.
“Freyr Road!” Tokio stood up, slung her bang strap over her head. She was told that the rest of her bags would already be there.
“Finally.” she muttered as she walked as fast as she could, without sprinting, to the front of the bus, and to the freedom and fresh air of the nice day outside. She should have opened her window, she realized as she reached the front of the bus and turned to the stairs.

Tokio jumped off of the final step of the crowded city bus, glad to finally be away from that awful smell. She watched as the bus drove off, leaving her alone in the blaze of the afternoon sun.
“Ack!” Tokio jumped around as someone tapped her shoulder, slamming right into a boy’s chest and started to fall.
“Uh, Sorry.” The boy said, catching her by the arm “I didn’t mean to scare you.” He said as another boy behind him started cracking up.
Tokio looked up at the boy who had caught her and blushed. He was so pretty! Was he really a boy? His long black hair was perfect, and his eyes were beautiful up close…

“Oh! No, It’s okay.” she blushed even more, realizing that she had been ignoring him. “I’m sorry for running into you like that.” She looked around the black haired boy to see who it was that was laughing, since it obviously wasn’t the one she ran into.

“That’s good, Tom stop laughing.” The guy who had been laughing stopped, but continued to look extremely amused at the sight of Tokio’s face. This boy was pretty too, He seemed to have the same looks as the black-haired guy but he wasn’t wearing any make-up and his style was completely different. This boy had dark blonde, or maybe even brown dreadlocks, they were pretty long and were pulled up in a pony tail that went through the back of some weird kind of cap.

“So is this the new girl, Bill?” Tom asked the boy who was still holding Tokio’s arm, and in realizing this she blushed again.
Bill ignored Tom and returned his gaze to the girl. “Hallo. My name is Bill, and that’s my brother, Tom. You probably can’t tell, but, he’s my identical twin.” Bill made a funny face and Tokio smiled, trying not to laugh. “Well, what’s your name?”
“Uh, my name’s Ren Yuzuki, but everyone calls me Tokio.” she said. “I’m looking for the Alice Academy, Do you know where it’s at?”

Tom snickered as Bill moved to the side, revealing a tall, beautiful mansion. “This is what you’re looking for then.” He pointed to the mansion.
“Wow.” Tokio whispered. There was a large fountain in the center of a large lake, which stood in the middle of a gigantic spread of green grass with shady trees scattered across the place. Water from the fountain, and maybe the lake too, continuously spelt out three words. ‘The Alice Academy’.
As Tokio stared at the beauty of the place, Tom finally spoke to her.
“Welcome to the Alice Academy, Tokio.” he said, surprisingly kind. “May my little brother and I show you around, our dear fellow Louts?” he smirked as his kindness, but it was Bill who laughed this time. So Cute!

“Ah, Uh... Sure.” Tokio smiled at Bill.
“Well then, let’s go.” Bill and Tom said in unison, with the cutest smiles on their faces. Bill took her right hand, an Tom her left while they half-dragged her through the now flower covered front gate, as Bill had run his finger over it.
